a tale of 3 watches

One watch has the slogan: "It's your watch that tells most about who you are." And this is who they hope you'll want to be like ...

Another watch suggests your watch determines what you are made of ...

So what does Unkle E's watch tell you about him?

Let's resist advertising and social images that try to sell vanity, and self esteem where it cannot and should not be found!

  1. point well made. i marvel at the advertising industry and how they come up with so much out of nothing. when i really pay attention, i notice that close to 100% of advertising is false in one way or another.

i like your watch, by the way. i would prejudge you as "fun"

  2. Fun? Nice of you to say so. Perhaps some would say "immature". But who needs to grow up and old and boring? : )

When my last watch broke, I needed one in a hurry. I disliked the big fancy overstated ones, then saw this one on a half price sale. I probably wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't cheap, but now I love it!
